Guangdong plans to build 15,000 km of highways by 2035

According to the Guangdong Expressway Network Plan (2020-2035) unveiled by the province's department of transportation, Guangdong will build 15,000 kilometers of new highways by 2035, with a highway network covering the province, linking up the ‘Pan-Pearl River Delta’ (a huge area including Fujian, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Hong Kong and Macao).
